Innovation in Action: Kingaroy’s Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship Program Begins

Golden West Apprenticeships are thrilled to announce that a group of 12 exceptional individuals have commenced in their pre-apprenticeship program in engineering, right here in the heart of Kingaroy.

“It’s a privilege to witness the start of the pre-apprenticeship program, where students will delve deep into the world of engineering, learning the ropes, and gaining hands-on experience that will pave the way for their successful careers in the industry” said Natalie Spencer, local Training and Employment Coordinator for Golden West Apprenticeships.

After completing 8 weeks of intensive training with TAFE Kingaroy, these talented trainees will transition into a period of hands-on work placement with local engineering and manufacturing businesses, further developing their skills and expertise.

Natalie advised that “following the period of work placement, we aim to secure apprenticeships for each trainee.  This program is a great opportunity for the trainees to gain valuable skills and experience, but also a wonderful opportunity for local employers who are attracting new, work ready apprentices into their businesses”.

This program has been supported by the Queensland Government.
