An assessment centre is a group assessment where you and other applicants who have been shortlisted will be assessed on your practical ability, teamwork, communication skills, ability to problem solve and adapt to different situations. You will be involved individual, group and practical activities that will be relevant to the position you are applying for.

Assessment centres are held on site at an Origin field facility, and will generally start with an introduction and overview of the day followed by an ice breaker to help everyone feel relaxed. Then we move on to the individual and group exercises where you will be assessed by our team throughout the day.

You can prepare yourself by simply being yourself and ensure you’re interacting and contributing to the activities throughout the day.

All roles will commence in January 2027.

  • You should provide a cover letter and resume when applying for one of the available roles.
  • Your cover letter should outline your interest in the role you are applying for, why you are interested in the role and why you would be a great choice.
  • Having a well written and presentable resume is a crucial part of the employment process as employer’s shortlist applicants based on their resume content so therefore it is important to make your resume stand out. Resumes should not be longer than two pages so keep your resume concise, only include details that are relevant and include details of two (2) referees.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships are a viable career pathway alternative where you learn new skills and get paid at the same time. It’s an amazing opportunity to kick start your career no matter what type of the apprenticeships or traineeships you choose to do. Because you are working in a real job while you are learning, you get exposure to real-life situations and learn how to deal with them in a mentoring environment. You do some learning on-the-job and attend college to get more specific practical experience, you will work with other people and receive instructions from supervisors on how to manage your time, the disciplines of being responsible for creating a great work and much more.
